Paddy Loss and Its Implication to Fertilizer Subsidy in Indonesia

Indonesia is the third largest rice producer in world, at same time it’s a country that imports from various countries. The government has provided input subsidies to increase production and reduce imports. Modes of farming relatively diverse, conventional modern, even post-harvest process. objectives this study are: analyze impact handling on food loss relationship between paddy or with quantity value fertilizers subsidy Indonesia. estimated (rice) includes stages harvesting, threshing, drying, milling distribution. Farmers use technologies processing rice: serrated sickle power thresher flatbed dryer drying; while was done using miller. total reached 6.91 million tons 2014 continued 8.14 2018. growth rate fertilizer higher than those subsidized loss. results indicated rates lower increased for fertilizer.
